Bonjour from Vancouver, British Columbia!

Salut Everyone,

Today was our first day in the Amazing race!!! Thankfully, it was only a practice round, because Maria and I STUNK!!! We first had to take a practice immigration test, we had to get 70% in order to get the next clue. On our first try we got 50%, but on our second try we got 70%!!! Then we had to find the name of the famous park in Vancouver which was Stanley Park. We got there very fast thanks to Maria Waters and my quick thinking! Next, we had to play a game where we had to swat mosquitoes, and we had to get 6000 points! We tried so many times, and we lost every single time! Finally, Maria won it, with a score of 6011! Next, there was a yield, Team Bubble Gum Bling yielded us, so we got 2 hours added to our time. I hope they know, that this means REVENGE!!! Then, we had to find out how many medals Canada won in the 2010 Olympics and what place they came in. After that, we had a road-block where one of us had to catch a specific fish, a Halibut.  Maria did it and got it on her first try! For the next task, we had to score a goal in hockey (I scored the goal!) After we had to find out what Canada's national sports were, we knew right away that it was lacrosse and hockey! Finally we went to the Fairmont Chateau Whistle, it was our pit-stop. We came in 8th out of 10 teams. Once the race was over, we went skiing at Grouse Mountain and we had a fantastic time!
